Kristi Cornwell

KRISTI CORNWELL

At around 9 PM, Kristi is taking a walk along a mountainous road, talking to a male she’s in a relationship with. Everything’s going well until 15 minutes later when a big truck approaches her. She moves out of the way to avoid getting hit, but the truck was actually TRYING to do just that, as the driver then gets out of the truck and abducts her with brute strength. Kristi tries to fight back but it’s just too much to handle. About halfway through the drive, Kristi tries to make a call, possibly to 911, but the driver takes her cell phone and throws it out through the passenger side window, past Kristi. They eventually end up in a very isolated area, where the abductor rapes and murders Kristi, then burns the body. This man has done stuff like this before and will do stuff like this again.

Analysis: While it looks like a random crime of opportunity, I never got that it was. There is a link between the male Kristi was talking to during her walk and this man, and Kristi’s relationship was going downhill from what I saw. Money doesn’t seem to be a factor here as the abductor actually likes and enjoys what he does. The motive for this crime is revenge for the mastermind, and rape and the “thrill of the kill” for the abductor. Letters D and J.
